Difference between the Exchange and Mobile App

The Mobile App and the Web App are two very separate things. 

The mobile app is not a mobile friendly version of the site, it is a separate tool that works inconjunction with the web app (website).
Currently it is available for Android devices V2 and above and iPhone 4 and above (The reason it doesnt work on the 3GS for example is because Apple did not design this version and below to have more than one app open at any time, so this is a limitation of the phone not the app). Upgrading your operating system to version 4 or above will resolve this issue and allow you to use the app.
The app itself offers 5 functions currently:
  • 1. Tracking (which will match jobs if you are within 'X' miles of the pick up point - determind by the poster of the load) and plots your location on the Live Availabilty Map (LAM).
  • 2. Availability status - this allows you to state whether you are available or not and will change the colour of your pin on the map so that other members can easily see your availabilty. 
  • 3. Return Journey Entry - there are 3 ways to enter a journey on the app
(i) Going Home (uses your current location and home location to determine the route, you simply state your eta
(ii) Going To - Uses your current location and asks you to enter your destination and eta.
(iii) Future Journey - allws you to enter from and to locations and eta
  • 4. My Bookings - allows you to receive a booking and then update the status of the booking

  • 5. Who's Nearby? - this feature searches for other tracked members within 30 miles of your current location
